Stranger Things returned for its second season in 2017, reuniting the hit series’ young ensemble cast alongside David Harbour and Sean Astin. Produced by 21 Laps Entertainment, the season leaned on computer-generated visual effects to expand its supernatural world.
SCANable performed detailed 3D scans of all of the main cast members — including Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, and Sean Astin — on location in Atlanta, Georgia. The body scans and modeling provided production-ready digital double data in support of the season’s VFX work.
