The story is
always the focus.
An audience pulled out of the story by an effect never quite comes back. Everything we shoot on set and everything we build in house is there to keep them in it. That is the whole job.
VFX scanning and photogrammetry for feature film and episodic — cyberscanning, digital doubles, and LiDAR set capture. Our studios travel to your production, so scanning never costs you a shooting day.
[ 150+ CAM / 40+ STROBE / 1⁄60 SEC CAPTURE ]
We run a fleet of Mobile CyberSCAN™ Studios and a set of modular arrays we built in
house for volumetric and machine-learning work. We own them, we crew them, and they
stay on the road. The studio shows up at your stage, your location, or your backlot.
There is one idea behind every number below. An actor’s time belongs to their
character, not to our equipment, so we build around how fast they get back to set.

Most of our work is VFX scanning during production — the window when a set still exists, the hero costume is still built, and the cast is still on the call sheet. We capture actors, wardrobe, props, vehicles, and standing sets while the show is up, then hand VFX a measurable digital record of what was actually in front of the camera.
On location that means LiDAR set and location scanning for camera tracking, matchmove, layout, and set extension. Locations get struck, permits expire, and weather changes. A scan does not.
VFX photogrammetry is the other half of the same job. Where LiDAR gives us hard measurement, photogrammetry gives us surface — pore-level skin detail, fabric weave, paint wear, and the color information a modeler needs to believe a material.
We shoot it at every scale: digital doubles from our camera studios, props and vehicles on the day, and full environments from the air with FAA-licensed aerial photogrammetry. Deliverables land as clean geometry and texture, not a pile of raw frames for someone else to solve.
Cyberscanning — full-body actor capture for digital doubles — is what our Mobile CyberSCAN™ Studios were built for. A 150+ camera array fires in a single instant, so there is no hold, no drift, and no asking a performer to freeze.
The studio travels to the production rather than the other way around. Talent walks in from set, scans, and walks back out in under a minute. Add photometric and OLAT capture when the shot needs a relightable double that holds up in any lighting environment.
Raw capture is not a deliverable. In house we take scan data through retopology, texturing, and render-ready asset builds, and into newer formats when the pipeline calls for them — 3D Gaussian splatting, neural rendering datasets, and 4D volumetric capture of performance rather than pose.
Assets arrive scaled, oriented, and named to your convention, ready for virtual production and LED volume work or a conventional post pipeline. See the full service list or browse selected work.
